We don't go to The Strip very often. Usually just when we have visitors who want to check it out and see some of the sights. I actually forget most of the time that I live 20 minutes away from a place that thousands of people travel to every year from all over the world to visit. It just obviously doesn't hold a lot of appeal for our family. :) But, there is one place on The Strip that we actually do love to visit...the Bellagio is hands down our favorite place to see there. The fountain shows outside are so, so cool...for reals, We are in awe every time we watch. But our very favorite part of the Bellagio is inside. There is this huge Atrium that is just filled with gorgeous flowers and trees and plants. They redo it every season...decorating it with flowers and colors and landscaping to go along with winter, fall, summer and spring. All the flowers and trees are real and fresh and beautiful. I don't know how they do it, but it's wonderful.
So Emily is studying Butterfly life cycles in school, and her teacher told the class that there were butterflies at the Bellagio atrium right now, so Emily begged us to go see them. Since it was a Saturday and we had tons of cleaning, yard work, and errands to run...we of course said yes. :) We had never seen the atrium in the Spring and it was so, so pretty. We loved it and I'm so glad we took the time to go, it was definitely worth it!
Emily and Justin are walking into the green house where the butterflies are...
It is so hard to see them in pictures but the green house
was filled with gorgeous butterflies of all colors. They were
flying around like crazy and it was so cool to see them.
Emily kept exclaiming... "Oh mommy, they are so gorgeous" or
"Oh mommy, they are just beautiful" and "Oh mommy, they are so graceful."
She was in heaven.
That blue, blurry thing in the middle is an
Azure butterfly...they had a lot of them and
they were huge and so pretty!
Eden loved the butterflies too...
Some of the Spring-y decorations...
And of course, the flowers...

Adorably beautiful children. They are all growing up! The flowers (I believe) are Iceland Poppies. I love them too.
That is my favorite thing on the Strip too. It always amazed me with what they come up with.
I love your comment about just one more pretty flower. :)
I also enjoyed your description of the fountain show outside the Bellagio and the atrium on the inside. Such good, clean fun...and on the strip too! :)
That looks really pretty! I had no idea the Bellagio did that! Awesome! Happy May is right, so pretty. Cute pics, you have such a cute little family!
Oh, I LOVE that last picture. She is so cute. Did you MAKE that hairbow? I still remember the fancy barrettes you made my girls once. I loved them.
I was just thinking today that I wanted to take the kids to the butterfly exhibit at the botanical gardens. Your post makes me want to go even more. And those tulips are gorgeous. Wow.
You don't need a new camera...these pictures are great! Nice job!
What a beautiful and fun place to go. Your kids sound so adorable. :)
I just wanted to say I did NOT make Eden's cute hair bow. I ordered it online. I have found that I actually spend a lot less money just buying bows from other people than trying to make them myself. :) Other people's are way cuter too.
This one is from bitsnbows.blogspot.com
Those flowers are poppies and I love them too...although tulips are still my most favorite! We may have to go down there this weekend...it looks beautiful!
That looks beautiful! We haven't been down there in awhile...maybe that will be fun for mother's day weekend. =)
What fun! I hope you found a family-friendly place to park. When we went to the Bellagio, we had to drag our family through the never ending casino at Caesar's Palace because we didn't know where we were going...Ugh. I can see why you don't go to the strip very often.
The flowers, butterflies, and of course the children are all beautiful! Thanks for posting the great pictures.
the one great place on the strip! Thanks for sharing- I guess in and out isn't really on the strip- or I would add that too.
I don't know if I could keep Sky from the strip. What a fun family outing. I can't get over how old Emily looks.
You have a great shot of Emily's cute hair with the cute butterfly clip. Love it. Did you make it?
Nope. :) That is another internet bow...
