Standing Up (10-months)

This is all Eden does lately. Pretty soon after learning to crawl Eden figured out how to pull herself up to standing. It's pretty much her favorite thing to do. She pulls herself up on everything...tables, chairs, beds, couches, doors, the wall, her brother, her sister, my legs (I love that one :) ). She is not at all content to sit anywhere...she is always finding somewhere to stand...

(Justin left the fridge open when he was
getting himself a yogurt. Eden saw her chance
and was so excited and happy as she reached
for that bowl of strawberries. I got to her right
before she could dump them.)

With all of the standing up comes a lot of
falling down. Here is Eden in action...
She is so fun. She even smiles when
she's falling over...pretty great, huh.

Eden as godzilla...

So here is Eden at 10-months!
Time is going by way too fast!

And here is a video of Eden laughing for those who
don't get to hear it very often. It's a great sound.
(I don't know why my videos always come out so dark
when I post them on my blog. They are much lighter when
I watch them on my computer. Oh well...)

Easter Morning

Happy (late) Easter!
Pretty Emily

Adorable (and awesome) Justin
Sweet Eden
Since it's Eden's first Easter and first
Easter dress...she gets a couple extra pictures. :)
I wanted to include this picture because it shows
off Eden's cool purple lip that she woke up with Sunday morning.
Every once in a while Eden will suck on her lower lip
so hard it actually turns purple. Crazy, huh.
Everyone at church wondered what happened to her!
(at least it matches her dress. just kidding.)

Sisters...
I am so incredibly grateful for these three children...
They are happy and healthy and good and I couldn't ask for more!

Spring Break and First Time Swimming!

Like I said before, we had a great break. One of the big things we did was take the kids swimming (indoor) two different times. It's a big deal because this was Eden's first time ever swimming. It was so fun and she loved it. She went crazy splashing in the water and would've stayed in their for hours if she could have. It makes me excited for the summer!

The pool had these great baby
life vests. She loved just floating around.
My little sister came down from Utah
with her two boys. Her youngest is just
6 weeks younger than Eden!
(sorry this picture is so dark)
They were hilarious together...
it was so fun to watch them play.
My niece Abbie slept over two separate nights.
We loved having her!

Girl time...they painted each others nails and
put curlers in each others hair and ate brownies and watched movies.
It was pretty much the perfect girly sleepover.
At the park...
And finally...dying Easter eggs.

Spring Break is Over. :(

I like to leave love notes in Emily's lunchbox every now and then. Just so she has a little surprise when she goes to eat her lunch and just so she knows I am always thinking of her when she's gone. It makes her happy. This morning was the first time Emily actually requested a note for her lunch. She said after being home with us everyday for Spring Break she is probably gonna be a little homesick at school and a note would really help. So Dave and I both slipped one in there before she left to school. I thought it was so sweet of her to ask, and it also made me a little sad because I realized I was going to be homesick for her all day today as well. I cannot even express how nice it was to just have my kids HOME over the break. I loved it so much. Not having anywhere we have to be is just so nice! We had a super fun break and it really flew by. We spent a lot of time playing with cousins and friends which was great. Mostly we just enjoyed doing things together. I am going to post more about Spring Break and Easter later. But for now I am trying to catch up...so here are a couple of posts with more to come soon...Enjoy! :)

Egg Hunts

We had a couple of egg hunts this year. They are actually out of order...but here are pictures from our ward's Primary egg hunt last Friday...

I caught Emily doing this a few times actually...
Instead of putting eggs in her basket, she'd give
them to a little kid near by. She still took plenty
for herself as well :), but I thought this was so sweet...
This is very typical Emily...

Over conference weekend we had Dave's brother's family
over for dinner and an egg hunt. It was so fun!

Before the hunt...
We actually had an egg hunt with these same cousins at our house last year too (just last year Grandma was visiting and put it on for us and we had Dave's other brother and his cute family here as well). Anyways, we were short on Easter baskets and so the kids just used random things/bags we had around the house to put their eggs in. I just love what Justin came up with to gather his eggs. These pictures make me laugh...

:)
O.K. back to this years hunt...
The kids getting antsy while waiting to go out...
It's on...

Eden didn't quite get it...
(aren't Dave's socks and sandals awesome!)

Eden loved her egg...

What did we get?

This is funny...we let Eden down on the grass to play and
she just didn't like the feel of it I guess. She sat with this one leg
up in the air so it wouldn't touch (I'm sure she would have put
both up if it were possible!). It was pretty cute.

I'm sure it won't be as funny on video as it
was in person, but here's Eden trying to
keep her leg up to avoid it touching the grass...

March

Wow, I am behind.
March was actually a really slow month for us. The weather was mostly cold and windy and we didn't get out a whole lot. We did participate in our cities annual fishing derby though, which the kids loved. So I thought it was worth going back and posting about. Every March a fishing derby is held at a park by our house and every year we go (I think this was our fourth year) and every year we don't catch a single fish. :( It's so crazy. I really thought this might be the year, but nada. Our nephew was staying with us for a few days while he was on track break and he actually caught a fish which was very exciting. It was so fun to have him stay with us...the kids had a great time. Here are the pics...

These boys are truly best friends
and seriously two of the sweetest boys ever :)...

We didn't do anything for St. Patricks day...but
here's a cute picture of Em doing her homework
with her clover headband on that she made at school.
It's all I have to document the holiday. :)
We also got hooked on American Idol this month.
I love this show. Seriously, I just love cuddling up
next to Dave on the couch...listening to him crack
up at absolutely everything Simon says. It makes me happy.
We really have fun watching it together.
Emily loves it too. I record them for her
so she can watch her favorites the next day...
(kris and matt are her faves by the way).
Here's a picture she drew of herself on Idol someday.
I love it...
That's it for March!
